HOW CAN WE HELP ?
We currently provide assistance to groups of one (self employed) to over 1500 employees. Included in these benefits designs are life insurance, dependant life, accidental death and dismemberment, both short and long term disability as well as health and dental programs. Our mandate is to work with the employer and/or employee group to determine the program that most effectively meets the needs of each group and then to package those benefits in the most cost efficient manner. In many cases this may be a traditional fully insured program or we may recommend the employer self insure the health and/or dental benefit (known as Self Funded or A.S.O.). Many times, this results in significant cost savings to the employer's bottom line while continuing to provide an excellent benefit to their employees. Once the benefit approach is determined we will then go to the marketplace and determine the best carrier or third party administrator to provide the benefits. A major part of our function is to fit the right carrier of the benefits to the group. Part of this process is determining the level of service the group requires and insuring the carrier can provide what is needed. We are dedicated to providing each of our clients with strong after sale service. If you need us, we will be there.
We are also committed to the retirement planning of the group. During consultation, we provide information on defined benefit pensions plans, defined contribution pension plans as well as Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSPs), Deferred Profit Sharing Plans (DPSPs) and help determine the appropriate mix of retirement programs for the group. Once the program is defined we will determine the best provider of the benefits and work with the carrier to implement. This may include individual counselling, assisting employees to chose an appropriate investment mix or something as simple as assistance in completing enrolment forms. Again, if you need us, we will be there.
Once you become a client of Secure Benefits Solutions , we provide a series of seminars to assist your employees and improve their understanding of such subjects as financial planning, managing their money, investment planning, among many other subjects. These seminars are held on company property, usually as a lunch and learn and about one hour in duration. We have found this to be a very valuable addition to the employee benefit program and the majority of employees agree that the sessions are very helpful to themselves and their families.
OTHER SERVICES
We also provide individual financial and estate planning services to your executives, on request. This may include information and implementation of additional benefits and/or retirement programs such as Cost Plus or Health Spending accounts for benefits not covered under the traditional insured programs or an Individual Pension plan.
Our Advisors are licensed to provide individual advice on life insurance, segregated funds, mutual funds, personal health insurance programs, individual disability programs and are available to help an individual in any of these areas.
